CS:GO removes Dust2; adds Anubis

The mainstay map and namesake of Dust2 Websites across the news universe is gone

CS:GO has announced in a new blogpost that Dust2 has been removed from the Active Duty map pool and will not be played at the upcoming Paris Major. In its place will be Anubis, which was recently teased by the CS:GO account by asking for a good pun for the map.

Anubis is a community-made map and was first added to the game in 2020. The map was later removed in 2021, before being added back in August with an extensive re-work.

Additionally, there have been some changes to the guns as the AWP magazine capacity has been reduced to five bullets and the M4A1-S now does less damage at long ranges.

Dust2 has been a mainstay of the competitive counter-strike map pool and has been a part of every Major in CS:GO except for PGL Krakow 2017 and the ELEAGUE Boston Major 2018 when it underwent a revamp with several changes overall.
