Report: Complexity close in on former Dignitas player
Dust2.us understands that Complexity are set to announce former Dignitas player Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli as their new fifth. This report follows news that Paytyn "junior" Johnson has been benched from Complexity and our own reporting that the organization were looking at a number of European options.
It is understood that hallzerk has been on Complexity's short-list for some time, having originally tried out for the team against a slate of other European AWPers. The Norwegian had been in free agency since June 16th following Dignitas' decision to release Adam "friberg" Friberg's squad and exit CS:GO.
An interesting wrinkle in Complexity's decision to sign hallzerk is that the Norwegian has been out of action since mid-April, with his last official being against Outsiders in the PGL Major Antwerp EU RMR A. He has stayed active in FPL to a degree, but it will be interesting to see his level of match fitness when the BLAST Premier Fall Groups starts on August 19th.
Moving forward, Complexity will field:
-
Johnny "JT" Theodosiou
-
Justin "FaNg" Coakley
-
Ricky "floppy" Kemery
-
Michael "Grim" Wince
-
Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli
-
Tiaan "T.c" Coertzen (Coach)
-
Paytyn "junior" Johnson (Inactive)
Complexity will head into BLAST Premier Fall Groups alongside Liquid and Evil Geniuses, with Liquid continuing to field Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis while Evil Geniuses' roster is reported to have Sanzhar "neaLaN" Iskhakov and Kévin "misutaaa" Rabier in its ranks.
