BHOP complete rebuild without stanislaw
BHOP have completed their lineup for ESL Challenger League Season 42, with the most notable change seeing Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz leave the team while Danny "cxzi" Strzelczyk has taken over IGL duties. cxzi told Dust2.us that stanislaw elected to exit the project while he intensifies his search for a new team. Additionally, Jacob "SPERMY" Younan has been benched while the roster has been rounded out by Brett "brett" Rhein and Austin "AAustiN" Urb.
cxzi said that SPERMY was moved to the bench for performance reasons despite being a great teammate. His removal from the squad was a fairly obvious conclusion as he lagged far behind his teammates in the fragging department, posting a paltry 0.73 rating over 21 maps last season. Comparatively, this placed the 29-year-old a whole 0.3 points behind BHOP's next lowest rated player Silas "silas" Marrufo.
The addition of brett sees the former ONET4P player return to the server after spending last season coaching Axolotls in ECL Season 41 while sounding out offers. The final piece of the puzzle, AAustiN, returns to competition after stepping down from Strife in November to finish college. Prior to Strife, he played for the likes of Recon 5, Swedish Canadians, and iNTACT.
This new-look BHOP squad already made their debut in the first ESL Challenger Melbourne open qualifier. The team made it all the way to the finals before being felled by Gaimin Gladiators.
