Ghost set to replace CONNOR93 with vSa
Andy "vSa" Xu is set to replace Connor "CONNOR93" Glover on Ghost's ESL Pro League roster, Dust2.us has learned. The in-game leader joined the team's ESEA roster earlier today.
The move follows lackluster results for Ghost in their opening EPL bouts, leaving the team at an 0-4 record after losses to Renegades and Rogue. Losing to eUnited in the ECS Season 5 Challenger Cup was likely the final nail in the coffin for the current Ghost roster. The pick up of the former Rise Nation in-game leader will now look to add much needed structure and leadership to the struggling squad.
After spending two months on the bench, vSa returns to professional play after being released from the Rise Nation squad following their move to eUnited. The player was benched after the team failed to qualify for ESL Pro League at ESEA's Global Challenge LAN.
In the time between the Global Challenge and the start of the new season, vSa had been tied to talks with Ghost, though a transfer never materialized at the time due to the price of his buyout from Rise Nation.
Recently we reported that Michael "Uber" Stapells was to replace vSa on The Onliners for WESG due to vSa trialing for various squads. It now seems that vSa has found his home in Ghost, and will look to help the team fight back from their 0-4 deficit.
Ghost's new roster figures to be:
- Sebastian "seb" Bucki
- Matthew "Wardell" Bowman
- Yassine "Subroza" Taoufik
- Tramaine "stan1ey" Stanley
- Andy "vSa" Xu
Ghost are set to debut with their new roster on Wednesday, where they'll look to take down Splyce in their third ESL Pro League matchup.
