Triumph set to field Bwills, tweiss, and RZU on an uncontracted basis
After losing a trio of players on May 25th including Alan "Shakezullh" Hardeman, the remainder of the Triumph squad has refilled their ranks, with Brendan "Bwills" Williams returning to the lineup, while Tyler "tweiss" Weiss and Jeff "RZU" Ngo have joined to round out the team. Additionally, David "cynic" Polster will be taking over IGL duties on the team, picking up the role after previously calling for Recon 5 and Under 21.
This new lineup will continue to play as Triumph for the foreseeable future despite all members of the lineup being free agents. Dust2.us knows from sources close to the team that the former Triumph lineup had been in free agency for some time while the organization worked on finding new investors that would allow Triumph to continue operations and fund a CS:GO team.
Dust2.us reached out to Triumph's CEO Scott O'Leary for comment but did not hear back at the time of publication.
This move marks the permanent addition of tweiss to Triumph's lineup after standing in for the team last week against QcClan. He most recently played for Recon 5 for a period of three weeks, being that squad's top rated player during their first three matches of ESEA Premier Season 37. RZU is also a Recon 5 alumni, having played for the previous iteration of the lineup before himself being replaced by tweiss. Since then he has been focusing on streaming and playing FPL.
With these additions, Triumph are for the moment:
- Austin "Cooper" Abadir
- David "cynic" Polster
- Brendan "Bwills" Williams
- Tyler "tweiss" Weiss
- Jeff "RZU" Ngo
This new Triumph lineup will make its debut tomorrow against GGPR in ESEA Premier Season 37. The team currently has a 2-2 record following wins over QcClan and Big Chillin while suffering losses to Extra Salt and ChocoCheck.
