Report: TSM look to build team around tarik
According to a report from Jarek "DeKay" Lewis of Dexerto, illustrious organization TSM are looking to make a return to CS:GO. TSM have been outside of the game since releasing their previous roster at the start of 2017, amid the PEA controversy.
According to the report their main target is Tarik "tarik" Celik, who has been sat on MIBR's bench since the team returned to an all-Brazilian roster at the start of the year. TSM aim to build their roster around the rifler, with tarik bringing in whoever he'd like to create his team. It is unclear at this point if tarik will be accepting the offer.
tarik isn't the only player TSM has reached out to, according to the report. Owen "smooya" Butterfield, who was recently self-benched on BIG, was also listed as another name on this apparently numerous list of "benched individuals" that TSM had reached out to. smooya announced at the time of his benching that his main intention was to "move to America full time."
tarik's last event in a MIBR shirt was BLAST Pro Series Lisbon, where the team finished fourth while using Swole Patrol's Brax "swag" Pierce as a stand-in after wins over NaVi and NiP, but losses to Astralis and Cloud9, and a draw with FaZe.
TSM are a well known name to followers of CS:GO in 2015, having been the home of the now Astralis team throughout the year, a year which saw a number of successes outside of Majors. Their North American roster never matched the lofty heights of the Danes, but did manage to achieve a notable result of 3rd-4th at the first ECS Finals in 2016 and secure qualification to the ESL Pro League at the start of 2017 before moving to Misfits.
