Report: Ghost roster set to become kRYSTAL clear
To replace the outgoing Matt "Pollo" Wilson, Ghost plan to sign Kevin "kRYSTAL" Amend as their new fifth, VPesports have reported. Dust2.us can confirm the reports, with the entirety of the Ghost roster having added the German on Steam in the past few days, and a member of the team saying the addition of the player was a "done deal."
kRYSTAL last played for Imperial, where he led the team to a win at DreamHack Summer 2018 before being benched due to tensions with star player Rokas "EspiranTo" Milasauskas. Prior to that, he was a member of Sprout, where he was eventually removed in favor of new in-game leader Dennis "sycrone" Nielsen.
Presumably, kRYSTAL will come into Ghost as a rifler, as Matthew "Wardell" Bowman will continue to primary AWP. As of now, it is thought that Joshua "steel" Nissan will continue to be the in-game leader of the squad.
Should the deal be finalized, Ghost's roster will be:
- Matthew "Wardell" Bowman
- Yassine "Subroza" Taoufik
- Joshua "steel" Nissan
- Kenneth "koosta" Suen
- Kevin "kRYSTAL" Amend
- James "JamezIRL" Macaulay (Coach)
Ghost is set to play in the MSI MGA North America Closed Qualifier on August 11th and the ZOTAC Cup Masters 2018 Grand Finals in Hong Kong August 24th to 26th. Dust2.us has learned that the new addition will not be with the team for the MSI event — it is not known who they plan to field.
